How we select and support host families
Every host family is visited at home before a single student is placed. We recruit for warmth, suitability and reliability, then keep the checks, records and feedback that make consistent placements possible.
Local organisers stay close to the hosts in their own area, which means concerns are noticed early and dealt with quickly rather than after the group has gone home.
How hosts are selected, checked and supported
Home visits
All prospective hosts are assessed in their home.
References
References are collected and reviewed during onboarding.
Safeguarding
Relevant checks and safeguarding information are recorded and monitored.
Gas safety
Required documentation is verified and monitored for renewal.
Local oversight
Local organisers know the hosts, meeting points and day-to-day realities of each area.
Ongoing review
Host performance, compliance and student feedback are reviewed throughout the relationship.
